This is a phenomenal product. I am always wary about spending so much on a foundation because 10 times out of 10 I will either not finish the bottle, end up giving it to my mom or sister, or hate the shade and return it. I wouldn't go so far as to call me a beauty addict, but I'm on a quest to find the perfect product, so along the way I'll product hop often.
Perricone is an expensive brand so I haven't purchased anything from them so far, but beauty.com had a special going for $89 you get the perfect completion face moisturizer and the no foundation foundation. I was eager to get a hold of a product that claims to be universal and had so many amazing reviews on Amazon. I'm really glad I did, I have been using it for a full week now (both products) and so far haven't felt the need to hop.
Pros- I am extremely pale skinned with a blue/red undertone (thank you Prescriptives shade matching) so the yellow/warm undertone of this scared me at first. It's also that time of month so I have quite a bit of small blemishes on my forehead (thank you nature). I used one squirt and was surprised at how easy it blended into my skin. I let it dry then gave another squirt and re-went over the problem areas. It wasn't a full coverage, but I was surprised at how less red and angry my skin looked.
Cons- the smell is strong, but honestly only for a minute or two, I don't notice it by the time I've finished putting on my powder. You also need a powder to set your face if you don't like the dewy glow. I love the white HD powder that is sold by many brands, because it helps close pores, is universal as well, and is really light. After using the foundation, a quick light dusting of the powder makes my face more matte. The final con isn't really a con just a warning, this isn't full coverage. It softens blemishes and makes them more easy to blend, but if you have a big zit or problem area you're going to want to go ahead and use a concealor as well.
As a final thought this has made my skin look really, really good after a week of using both the moisturizer and the foundation. I actually like the way my blemishes look softened, sometimes if you try to conceal them to invisibility it can make it obvious that you're wearing a 2 inches of makeup, with the Perricone it makes them not noticeable, like when you just have some raised bumps that don't look great, but don't look bad like zits. I work for about eight hours then work out every day for a couple more, this make up doesn't run or fade, and I think I might actually use a whole bottle. A side note about the moisturizer, it's great for mornings, but I find that it's too light for evenings and I use my Clinique redness reducing lotion after I put it on. I'll update if there's any horrid noticeable changes.
